State Approved Portal Chunk Loaders

Starting map 4, we're allowing no-approval chunk loading provided very specific rules are followed for how they're made.

Portal loaders are to be used to load things that are not possible for players to load on their own or break easily on unload, including safe farm shutdown for a disconnect. They are NOT for having your melon farm going nuts while you're in the shopping district looking for a new pair of pants.

Player activated sleep timer

You must wire the chunk loader such that your presence is required on a pressure plate to for it to stay activated. Upon removing yourself from the pressure plate, it should shutdown in no more than 5 minutes. Ask for Syntaxvgm's approval for longer times.

To accomplish this, you need to use a resettable adjustable long duration pulse extender. The official design is a schematic below. Items in the bottom hopper by the dropper adjust the time it stays lit, the schematic comes configured with 29 items which gives you about 5 minutes.

Wire one end into a pressure plate you stand on, the other to the chunk loader. Test to make sure that 5 minutes after removing yourself, your portal loader stops.

Chunk loader indexing fish

On the frame of your portal, place a raw cod in an item frame named loader. Do not capitalize the L. This will allow staff to use a command to easily find all compliant chunk loaders that are running. The fish should be placed on whichever side has your sleep timer so that after teleporting to the fish, staff doesn't need a trip through the portal isn't required to see if it has a working sleep timer on the other side.

Book of justification

Near the chunk loader indexing fish, place a written book with what the chunk loader is used for and any information you wish to share about the farm. An example would be a 2 dimension farm that one player cannot load alone. Self-defense is not a valid justification for a chunk loader.

Owner sign

Place a sign on both portals of the chunk loader with your name.

Kelp corners

Adorn both portals of the chunk loader with kelp blocks. This lets staff know at a glance you've read the guidelines, and lets them know that from the side that doesn't have the fish and shit.
